My Rates

Okay, you've navigated through my site, which means that you're impressed with my qualifications, but you still want to get down to the nitty gritty of it all - pricing.

You're wondering what is it going to cost me to hire this award-winning writer - a true professional who has been making a living at this since before the Internet ever came to be?

I ask, "Can you put a price tag on success?" Take a good look at that big dollar sign on this page. That sign wasn't put there just because this is my rates page. That dollar sign, which also happens to be lying on a bed of crisp hundred dollar bills, also symbolizes the reason why you're hiring me: To help your business generate more money, clients and recognition via the written word.

You Get What You Pay For

Everyone wants to know the bottom line cost. If that is your main concern, you could simply hire one of the other "professional" writers that are willing to crank out sweatshop-quality work for, you know, a mere 2 cents a word, or write "compelling" $10 articles and 500-word stories for the same price.

Rates like that are appealing to everyone - even me. Heck, if all of these so-called writers that blanket the Internet with lowball quotes were that good, I'd hire them myself and subcontract out the work. Of course, after doing that a few times, there's a strong chance that my credibility with the numerous companies that I've done business with in the past, would be shot - tossed right out the window.

No, my rates are higher than theirs. But that certainly doesn't mean you should click out of my website now to shop for bargain-basement writers that will wind up costing you much more in terms of quality and effectiveness. Remember, you're seeking my services because you want results. You want your business to succeed - to be singled out amongst the competition.

Since the bulk of my work can be done from my home office, I'm going to be a lot more cost-effective than an agency, but I'm not going to be as cheap as these ham-and-eggers that write for a hobby with the hope that they will be able to charge for it one day.

All Projects are Different

My prices vary as much as the subject matter I write about. Every project is unique, and so is the scope of the work, meaning that my rates do vary. It all depends on what you're looking for. Obviously, writing or editing a highly technical manual is going to require a lot more leg work than creating a simple marketing letter. The important thing is that you contact me so that we can further discuss the scope of your project, and so that I can get a better grasp of what your objectives are. From there, I'll do my best to come up with a quote that fits within your budget.
